Looking for teeth whitening in Berlin that is done by a dentist? Our in-office bleaching starts at €99*.
In the EU, whitening gels with more than 0.1 % hydrogen peroxide may only be supplied to dentists. That is why real bleaching with hydrogen peroxide belongs in a dental practice. Dr. Bardia Sarmadi studied dentistry at Charité, Universitätsmedizin Berlin and treats patients in English and German.
Below you find our four packages with prices, how a session works, who should not have bleaching and how to book.

How much does teeth whitening cost in Berlin?
Our four in-office packages differ in treatment time and the number of whitening phases. All of them are carried out by Dr. Sarmadi in the practice. Prices are billed privately under the German dental fee schedule (GOZ); statutory health insurance does not cover cosmetic whitening.

What neutral sources say
The German Dental Association (BZÄK) states that whitening both jaws usually costs 300 to 800 euros. The German consumer advice centre lists 30 to 70 euros per tooth for in-office bleaching and 200 to 400 euros for home bleaching with a tray.
Why a cleaning first makes sense
Plaque and surface stains keep the gel from reaching the enamel evenly. A professional cleaning right before the bleaching gives a clean starting point; our PZR Express costs €79.
How does a whitening session work?
Every whitening takes place in the practice under dental supervision. We do not hand out bleaching gels for use at home.
Check-up and shade
First we examine teeth, gums and fillings and record your starting shade with the VITA shade guide. If caries or leaking fillings need treatment first, we discuss this before the bleaching.
Protection and whitening
Lips and gums are covered, then we apply the hydrogen peroxide gel. Depending on the package, the gel works for 20 to 60 minutes; only package 4 uses the fläsh® LED light.
Result and aftercare
At the end we record the shade again. You receive aftercare advice for the first 48 hours, from package 2 including an after-whitening mousse.
Who should not have teeth whitening?
Not every mouth is ready for bleaching. These points come from the German Dental Association, the consumer advice centre and EU law.
Under 18
EU law does not allow whitening agents with more than 0.1 % hydrogen peroxide for people under 18. We therefore offer bleaching only from the age of 18.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
The German Dental Association advises against whitening during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We postpone the treatment until afterwards.
Caries, leaking fillings, exposed tooth necks
Caries and leaking fillings must be treated first, because the gel could reach the nerve. Exposed tooth necks and periodontitis also speak against bleaching for now.
Fillings, crowns and veneers
Fillings, crowns, bridges and veneers do not get lighter. Visible fillings on front teeth can look darker after whitening, which we discuss beforehand.
How do I book teeth whitening in Friedrichshain?
You book online on shapemysmile.de: choose your package and time, then confirm with a code sent by SMS. The booking pages are in German, and our team answers questions in English.
Opening hours
Whitening appointments are available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 7 pm and on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. The practice is closed on Sundays.
Getting here
Grünberger Straße 22, 10243 Berlin, about five minutes' walk from Frankfurter Tor (U5) and about ten minutes from Warschauer Straße.
Before any whitening I check why the teeth are discoloured and whether there is caries or a leaking filling. Sometimes a professional cleaning already removes much of the staining. If bleaching is not the right choice for you, I will tell you openly and explain the alternatives.
3 tips from Dr. Sarmadi
- 1
Ask whether a check-up and a shade measurement are included in the price.
- 2
Plan a professional cleaning before the bleaching so the gel can work evenly.
- 3
Avoid coffee, tea, red wine and smoking for the first 48 hours.
